New EEF Future Manufacturing Awards in skills and apprenticeships

Summary

EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation, has launched its new Future Manufacturing Awards to recognise the best of British innovation and excellence.  Companies can compete in a number of areas, including Innovative Working Practices, Innovative People Practices, and Environmental Achievement.  Open to all UK manufacturers, the EEF Future Manufacturing Awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of the bravest, boldest and best in the manufacturing industry.  In partnership with Westfield Health, EEF is looking for the company which has done the most to build skills and harness the talent of its people.  With the Institution of Engineering and Technology, EEF is also recognising outstanding achievements of first and final year apprentices.  You can see more information about the awards, and download at copy of the entry forms at www.eef.org.uk/awards/

Closing date for entries is 31st July.

We encourage companies to consider their skills programmes and projects, and enter for the Skills Award.  In the current economic climate, those who are continuing to invest in innovative and effective programmes are worthy of the highest recognition.  And if you know a great first or final year apprentice, why not put them forward for the Apprenticeship Awards?
