Stephanie Whalley - Contracts and Quality Director, Training

Stephanie Whalley is currently the contracts and quality
director of Training 2000, the largest and leading Group Training
Association in England, where she has worked for the last 18 years.
Stephanie has a wealth of experience in the learning and skills
sector and has been involved in WBL in the North West at a senior
level for 30 years.
Stephanie started her career working for the Jobcentre and moved
on from there into the Manpower Services Commission and its many
successors. Stephanie played a leading role in the development of
the East Lancashire Training and Enterprise Council and following
the set up project worked there for three years as the WBL manager.
Stephanie has had experience as both a commissioner and a deliverer
and is very conversant with the opportunities and challenges which
face the sector at both strategic and operational level. As a
practitioner Stephanie has a good working knowledge of the many
strengths which WBL providers have collectively and of their
issues.
Stephanie is a strong advocate for collaborative partnerships
and as a quality champion she is very passionate about the quality
improvement agenda. Stephanie is a board member of the Lancashire
Work Based Learning Executive Forum and chairs the very active
Quality sub group. Stephanie represents Lancashire regionally on
quality issues and is the voice of work based learning providers on
Lancashire’s 14-19 strategic partnership.
