Indro Mukerjee - Executive Chairman, CMAC MicroTechnology
Indro Mukerjee joined C-MAC MicroTechnology as CEO at the end of
2005.
Indro started his career in management consulting in the
technology sector, specializing in mergers and acquisitions and new
product introductions. He then joined Hitachi’s European
Semiconductor Division, where he moved into sales and marketing,
operations and business management positions. At Hitachi he
received two President’s Awards, first for starting up a successful
business venture from scratch, and then for transforming the
company’s customer service and logistics to best in class.
In 1993 Indro joined VideoLogic, an innovative PC- based
multimedia/graphics venture company. As a member of the leadership
team, he went through a successful IPO and developed a commercial
infrastructure to support growth, opening new markets
internationally and a successful joint venture in Japan.
In 1997, Indro was invited to join Philips Semiconductors,
initially as General Manager of the European region, then leading
the Consumer Market Group. He subsequently progressed to the
executive management positions of Executive Vice President – Global
Marketing & Sales, Chief Marketing Officer and then the overall
general management responsibility for the strategic Automotive and
Identification Business Unit.
Indro has a masters degree in engineering from Oxford
University, is a graduate of the Wharton Advanced Management
Program and speaks several European languages.
